StreamAlive

StreamAlive CEO and Co-founder saves 200 minutes per week with Clarify

Problems

StreamAlive is an audience engagement tool designed for virtual instructor-led group training. When they shifted from a product-led growth strategy to focusing on enterprise sales, CEO and Co-founder Lux Narayan found himself drowning in the complexities of traditional CRM systems. Even with years of experience using platforms like Salesforce, HubSpot, Freshsales, and others at previous companies, none felt built for the unique challenges of founder-led sales.

"I knew that we would be in founder-led sales for some time," explains Narayan. "My leads aren't just sales prospects—they're also investors, partners, and other types of conversations. I need different pipelines for each of these, and everything doesn't necessarily go through the same stages."

Lux was spending 15 minutes before each meeting scrambling to prep—digging through previous conversations, checking recent LinkedIn activity, and trying to get into the right frame of mind. After meetings, crucial follow-up tasks would slip through the cracks. "I know I need to capture certain salient points and put them into my CRM, but I'm hungry, or I've got another meeting, or it just slips through the cracks of multi-tasking—and then it doesn't happen."

StreamAlive needed a CRM that understood the reality of founder-led sales: managing multiple relationship types, preparing efficiently for back-to-back meetings, and capturing insights without administrative burden.

Solutions

StreamAlive implemented Clarify as their unified CRM platform, replacing their previous patchwork of tools. The platform's autonomous meeting preparation and intuitive interface immediately addressed their core pain points.

"It's reading my emails, my calendar, connecting different nodes and dots and drawing inferences," says Narayan. "The amount of information it's able to synthesize from conversations I've had, public data, and emails has been very powerful in terms of reducing my time to prep."

Clarify's flexible pipeline management allowed StreamAlive to create distinct workflows for sales prospects, investor relations, and partnership conversations—each with appropriate stages and custom fields. The platform's natural language filtering capabilities enabled quick views like "show me everybody in this cohort that I haven't communicated with in the last few days."

Post-meeting, Clarify's intelligent prompts eliminated forgotten follow-ups. "I love it when I finish a conversation and change something, and then it says 'looks like you want to create a deal'—yes, I forgot to create a deal out of this one," notes Narayan.

Outcomes

The switch to Clarify has fundamentally changed how StreamAlive manages their sales process, with significant time savings and improved preparation quality:

More efficient preparation: Narayan estimates his pre-meeting prep time dropped from 15 minutes to 5 minutes per meeting. "On average, I'm doing about 3 or 4 external meetings a day. That's about 200 minutes saved per week—roughly 14 hours per month."

Better meetings: "If you were to wake me up at 3 o'clock in the morning and say 'present StreamAlive,' I could do that. But the challenge was always before and after the meeting. Clarify helps me prepare better with the summary it gives and the context it sets."

Modern interface: The platform's intuitive design eliminated the typical CRM resistance. "It breathes—it feels spacious. You start with a smile when you look at the dashboard because you know everything is easy and breathing. It doesn't feel like you're in an elevator and can't wait to get off."

Team integration: The co-founders now use Clarify regularly, with their marketing lead also accessing the platform for account-based marketing initiatives. "Clarify is the last thing I do at the end of the day and the first thing I do in the beginning of the morning," says Narayan.

The AI-powered insights have created moments of genuine delight: "It's obviously using a lot of AI to make these things magically happen, but it doesn't keep slapping that on your face. It shows what's possible with AI and what it means to me, rather than just saying 'we got AI here, we got AI there.'"
